Sullivan County deputies have arrested three people in connection with synthetic methamphetamine also known as “bath salts”
Deputies began investigating earlier this year and traced the drug’s source to a home on South Jackson Street in Shelburn. Officers executed a search warrant Thursday where they say suspects were trying to wash the drugs down a drain.
Over 80 grams of suspected bath salts were recovered, along with drug paraphernalia and evidence of narcotics sales. The substance tested positive as a controlled substance.
Those arrested on felony drug dealing charges include Michael Shawn Miller, 58, Kelley Garner, 48, and Savana Frost, 35—all of Shelburn. Garner also had five outstanding warrants.
All suspects are being held in the Sullivan County Jail.
