A Washington woman died following a two-vehicle crash early Tuesday morning in Daviess County.

The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called around 4:57 a.m. to the intersection of U.S. 50 Bypass and County Road 150 South, also known as Sunnyside Road.

A 2017 Kia driven by 64-year-old Judy Farren of Washington was traveling south on 150 South and pulled into the path of a westbound 2016 Chrysler 200 driven by 30-year-old Christiana Valantin, also of Washington.

Both drivers were taken to Daviess Community Hospital, where Farren was pronounced dead. Valantin reported pain in her chest and legs.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department, Daviess Community Hospital Ambulance Service, and Washington City Police and Fire.
