Indiana DNR Law Enforcement reported drownings over the holiday weekend in Porter and Fountain Counties and an ongoing search in Indianapolis.

In Porter County, a father and son from Illinois drowned in Lake Michigan near Dune Acres on Sunday. David Meneou, 65, and Jameson Meneou, 20, were pulled from the water by a Good Samaritan but later died at a local hospital.

In Fountain County, a 21-year-old Indianapolis man drowned in the Wabash River near Covington while trying to cross. His body was recovered later that afternoon on Sunday.  His name has not been released.

Meanwhile, search efforts continue today at Lake Kesslerwood in Indianapolis for a juvenile who went underwater last night and did not resurface. Crews used sonar, divers, and a remote operated vehicle but suspended operations after dark.

All incidents remain under investigation.
