After reviewing the final totals, organizers confirm the 2025 Dancing with the Vincennes Stars fundraiser broke all previous records. The event held this past weekend brought in $42,000 in cash and in-kind donations, including more than $7,000 raised during voting that night. That surpasses the previous high set in 2022, the event’s first year, which came in just under $40,000.

The fundraiser is for the Wabash Valley Friendship Clubhouse, a safe place for members living with and recovering from serious mental illness.

Spokesperson Cher Wehrman with the Family Health Center says the six competitors——helped drive the success this year as each had a personal connection to mental health needs, and by sharing those stories, encouraged others to seek support.

Wehrman expressed appreciation to the community and sponsors, many of whom donated tickets to Wabash Valley Friendship Clubhouse members saying members are still talking about attending what some called the best night of their lives.
