At just after midnight on August 26, Knox County deputies were called to South 6th Street Road and Williams Road where a vehicle had hit a pole.
Knox County Chief Deputy John Fuller says the driver, 34-year-old Jeffrey Jackson, and passenger, 47-year-old Jeremy Scott, were found at the scene. Deputies say Scott appeared impaired, and a search uncovered 32 Gabapentin pills, a meth-filled syringe, and other drug items.
Scott allegedly admitted ownership and was arrested on three Level 6 felony charges and one misdemeanor. He was booked into the Knox County Jail.
As of Wednesday afternoon he remained incarcerated on a $5000 bond.
