State Road 61 south of Vincennes has been a rough ride this fall.

The Indiana Department of Transportation is continuing with a patchwork project that officials say involves basically going through and patching uneven and broken parts of the road.

This stage of the project however has meant an even bumpier surface than before in some areas.

INDOT Public Relations Director for Southwest Indiana Gary Brian told us why…

Brian says they hope to finish up the patching by the end of this month dependent on weather.

The plan is to pave the entire portion of 61 from Vincennes to Monroe City starting in May.
