Parents of Middle school students in the Vincennes School Corporation get to learn more about resilience next week.

On Monday and Tuesday, there will be a wide array of events for parents and students to learn from experts on resilience education.

Resilience education is a way to build a person’s ability to recognize and adapt their social, emotional and behavioral abilities during their life experiences.

VCSC Middle School Students will get to hear from a resilience education specialist who will help to teach them these skills on Monday’s school day.

Then that evening, families will be able to attend a fun game show event that will allow for parents and guardians to enforce skills that are learned.

Jennifer Vickers, The school counselor at Clark Middle School, says that teaching these students how to navigate situations now will help them in their future.
