A major road renovation in Washington continues.

Project Engineer Nick Jahn was at the Washington City Council meeting this week with an update on the Highway 50 reconstruction.

He says that starting this Spring the work will begin from State Road 257 to Southeast 3rd.

A special meeting for business owners and residents along the route is set for March 7th at 6pm at the East Side Park Community Building.

Officials will explain the project and take questions.

Jahn says that when work starts, the crews will work six days a week, 10 hours a day Monday through Friday, and 8 hours each Saturday through the completion of the project later this year.

When that is completed crews will start work on the road from 257 to State Street which is scheduled for completion in 2025.
