The Washington Avenue project in Vincennes is ramping up.
Starting today Washington Avenue is closed between Emison and Bridge 8 over Kelso Creek near Landry Drive.
Niblack Boulevard is closed at Washington Avenue.
The changes affect Gregg Park as the Washington Avenue entrance to the park is closed.
The park is only accessible from Niblack and the traffic flow in the park is changing to counter clockwise.
Washington Learning Center will be accessible from Washington Ave. near Emison Ave.
The detour for the closure will be State Street to 6th Street to Old Wheatland Rd. to Belle Crossing.
Old Orchard Rd., Audubon Rd., Burnett Ln., McDowell Ave. and Weed Ln. will all be closed at Washington Ave.
These streets can be accessed via Ritterskamp Ave. to Wheeler Rd.
