The Knox County Sheriff’s Department says several anonymous calls were phoned into South Knox Middle/High School around 9-am today.

The calls stated there was a bomb inside the school.

The middle and high school students were safely evacuated to the elementary school as the sheriff’s office and Indiana State Police investigated.

Students were released for the day starting at noon causing traffic to back up on State Road 61 from the middle/high school to Hickory Corner Road.

No bomb was located and the investigation is continuing.
