The Knox County Community Learning Kitchen continues teaching and sharing it’s knowledge across the Vincennes area.

It’s a program from the Knox County Public Library funded through grants from the Indiana Department of Health’s Division of Nutrition and Physical Activity, and the Knox County Community Foundation.

The kitchen is housed inside the Fortnightly Club in Vincennes but it has been seen all across the county since it’s start in August of last year.

Spokesperson Tiffany Muranaka, says last fall they were busy with live demonstrations at the local farmer’s market.

They’ve also been involved in the schools including the Functional Skills Class at Lincoln High School and the area’s elementary schools as well as the new teen center located at the Old Town Players theatre where they provide a meal every Monday.

Muranaka says one of the recent projects at the elementaries involved dates…

You can keep up with what’s happening in the kitchen at Knox County Community Learning Kitchen Facebook Page.
