Local authorities responded to the 900 block of North 7th in Vincennes at 11:45 am today.

Police report there had been a call saying shots had been fired in the area.

Upon officers arrival, a white male was said to have fled on foot and he was later apprehended.

Afterward, police viewed video footage which showed two females assisting a black male into a red, four door GMC Jimmy last seen going north on Washington Avenue.

The investigation is continuing and the name of the suspect that was apprehended was not released.
