The Vincennes Civitan Club is offering a $2500 annual gift to students majoring in their third and fourth years of studies in the Special Education- Mild Intervention Bachelor’s Degree program at Vincennes University.

The announcement about the scholarship was made this week at a panel discussion hosted by the club about the shortage of special education teachers.

Club President Duane Chattin says the scholarship is an extension of the Civitan mission which has long been supporting efforts and initiatives on behalf of those with development disabilities.
