The economic impact of the coming eclipse weekend in Knox County could be in the tens of millions of dollars.

Eclipse Director Sarah Wolfe told us in a recent interview compared what could happen here with what did happen during the eclipse that  affected parts of the US seven years ago.

There have been estimates of up to one hundred thousand people or more being here for Monday’s event.

Public celebrations leading up to Monday will get underway in a couple of days.
