The National Weather service issued a Wind Advisory for Knox, Daviess, Sullivan, Greene and Martin Counties as well as Lawrence County, Illinois while a High Wind Warning is in effect for Pike and Gibson Counties in Indiana and Edwards, Wabash and White in Illinois.

The advisory and warning are in effect through Saturday afternoon.

Southwest winds up to 35 miles an hour with gusts up to 50 to 60 are possible.

Winds that strong can blow down trees and power lines and create travel difficulties especially in high profile vehicles.

Meanwhile there is a 100 percent of rain throughout the day today and then possible some snow as the temps get colder.

There will be close to a  30 degree difference from the daytime high today to the overnight low tonight.

Saturday’s high will be 30 and then the cold air intensifies with lows in the singe digits by early Sunday morning with below zero windchills.

Highs will be in the teens on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
