Good Samaritan Hospital has an open house today to show off their new da Vinci Surgical System.

It’s a robotic system which will be utilized in a variety of minimally invasive general surgeries as well as gynecology and urology.

It’s being widely used for cardiac valve repair.

Hospital COO Adam Thacker says the hospital is embalming innovation with not only an investment in technology,  but a commitment to elevating patient care.

Today’s open house is from 5 to 7 today at the Hedde Education Center on South 7th Street.

There will be interaction with the hospital surgical team and live demonstrations of the robot.
