The Indiana First Region made up of Knox, Harrison, Perry, Pike and Spencer Counties has announced they have successfully submitted their application for READI 2.0 grant funding to the state.

READI is the Regional Economic Acceleration Development Initiative.

It’s an Indiana program dedicating $500 million in strategic investments into areas that will advance quality of life, place and quality of opportunity.

Chris Pfaff is the Chairman of the Indiana First Committee and says they’ve applied for for nearly $75 million of those funds.

The grant does require a dollar for dollar local match.

He describes how the funds will be spent if they are received..

Pfaff says population attraction is also a key part of the plan….

A decision on the grant application is expected to be announced in about 30 days.
