Vincennes City Engineer John Sprague says work along Washington Avenue is continuing to progress.

Rains last week did not seem to hamper the crews production on the major street overhaul project.

A trunk line to Old Orchard Road is complete and pavement and an old trolley bed was completed up to the Washington Learning Center.

This week the crews will install the box inlets along the trunk line up to Old Orchard.

Rough grading will also be occuring.

City officials remind the public that Gregg Park is only accessible through Niblack Boulevard and that traffic around the park moves counter clockwise which is particularly important at the pickleball courts.

Traffic should enter from Niblack and then go toward the pool and playground.
